Summer
Engadin – everything for an unforgettable summer
Hiking
Wanderlust through mountain and valley
Hikers are always discovering something new in the Engadin. Over 580 kilometers of well-signposted hiking trails lead through a landscape full of contrasts – from green alpine meadows to rugged rock faces and centuries-old glaciers.
Climbing
Triple good: granite, glacier, summit
The Engadin is the perfect place for those who want to climb high: granite, glaciers and climbing routes of all levels of difficulty – plus a panorama that is just as varied as the terrain. Tours are available with the Pontresina mountaineering school.
Cycling & mountain biking
The template for fast-paced experiences
Over 400 kilometers of bike trails wind their way through the Engadin – from relaxed flow trails to daring descents on the Corviglia. Recommendation: Early in the morning, head up to Piz Nair for breakfast above the clouds.
Bathing lakes
Swimming between Swiss stone pines
The Engadin lakes are an invigorating refreshment – even on warm summer days. At the idyllic Lej da Staz, wooden footbridges lead into the clear water, while the Lej Marsch entices with its fine sandy beach.
Water sports
Water sports high in the mountains
On Lake St. Moritz and Lake Sils, the morning hours belong to the canoes, SUPs and kayaks. At midday, Malojawind sets kites and sails in motion. River rafting through the Giarsun Gorge offers more adrenaline.
Fishing
A good catch – fishing in the Engadin
From May to September, the lakes offer excellent conditions for fishing for grayling, brown trout and char. Information on the permits can be obtained from the St. Moritz Fish Farming Inspectorate.
